Every year, elements of the horror community start belly-aching about horror being under-represented at the Oscars. Oh yeah? You want the rawest of disreputable outlaw genres to put on a tuxedo? Horror is supposed to push the envelope, not to wait on bated breath for it to be opened. Also: Who gives a shit? Don’t wait for anybody else to validate the stuff you love. The fact that you love it is enough. Shout it out! Share it with others!
